Hi, I’m Ashley, and I love to travel (especially to Disney) and learn about personal finance.
I used to work at a corporate job coming home exhausted after a long day at work and spending 3+ hours commuting. There were days when I had to show up to work, even during a hurricane. I was tired both physically and mentally.
I decided to leave my corporate job and take some time off to figure out what I should do with life. I was lost and anxious, not knowing what to do.
One day I was talking with my grandma, and she told me that I should figure out what I wanted to do and not what I should do. Do what you enjoy doing.
I was so fixated on the idea that I needed to get a corporate job that would lead to a fixed income.
While going through what I enjoyed, I realized that I loved sharing travel information and personal finance tips with others.
You might wonder, “did you major in finance?” Not at all. As a matter of fact, I always ran away at the sight of the words “finance.”
It all began when I started learning about personal finance and travel tips to save money for one of my dream vacations; Disney World. I was shocked by the amount of information I didn’t know about.
What the heck is a budgeting method? Isn’t investing for rich people? I didn’t even know that there were travel hacks to save money for vacations.
I started sharing my findings with my friends, and they too were surprised and were asking for more.
No. I’m not a certified financial advisor, nor did I work for a travel agent.
This blog was created to share personal finance tips that have helped me make or save thousands of dollars and travel information for planning your future vacation.
I want to help you save/make money and plan for your dream vacation.
Most importantly, to help inspire you and achieve your “yume” or dream in Japanese.
